54 Miles in 24 Hours

54 Miles in 24 Hours - Phizz

54 miles. 24 hours. Are you tough enough to handle the Cateran Yomp? A yomp is the military term for a long-distance march, and the Cateran Yomp is the biggest, toughest event of its kind. Even better, it’s in support of a great cause.

Phizz will be supplying the brave yompers with the hydration, vitamins and minerals in their goody bags to get them through this gruelling march. Taking place on the 11 & 12th September 2021 in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland, teams will battle through 54 miles in 24 hours across the rugged terrain of the Scottish wilderness. Silver or bronze distances are 36 and 22 miles respectively.

This test of endurance is in support of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Army’s national charity. The Soldiers’ Charity offer support for soldiers, former soldiers and their families for life. The organisation is one of the largest funders in the sector, supporting 60,000 people in 63 countries last year.

The overall scale, breadth and range of their support is vast. They help very young serving families cope with a sudden bereavement or traumatic loss. They provide wide-ranging support to wounded soldiers, many of whom will need increasing financial assistance for decades to come. They provide help with housing, education and training for employment for soldiers and veterans of all ages. They are there for older veterans and their widows or widowers when they find themselves lonely or isolated.

Think you’re up for the challenge? Sign up with friends, family, and colleagues to experience an unforgettable weekend whilst raising money for soldiers, veterans, and their families. Whichever distance you choose, you will get to test both your physical and mental limits whilst trekking through some truly breath-taking scenery.
