Our eco-partner CleanHub has educated us on the importance of Mangroves, and we’re here to pass this knowledge on!
So what are mangroves?Mangroves are ecosystems, protecting coastal communities and providing a home for marine life. They are a shield against storms and erosion, benefiting both nature and people.
How do they help the planet?
Mangroves are highly effective in carbon absorption, storing up to 4x more carbon than rainforests! Their roots also act as a filter, improving water quality, contributing to the overall health of marine ecosystems.
Why is raising mangrove awareness important?
Plastic pollution is becoming a serious threat to mangroves. Plastic is getting caught in their roots, suffocating trees, disrupting growth and harming dependent wildlife.
If this isn’t another reason to prevent plastic usage we don’t know what is!
