The Grocer Gold Awards 2025

The Grocer Gold Awards 2025 was an evening of good food, great company and even better vibes. Dubbed the “Oscars” of the food and drink industry, the night lived up to its prestigious reputation, bringing everyone together from household name brands to fellow FMCG stars. The Phizz team were excited to be shortlisted for the Health and Beauty Brand of the Year award and were hoping to take home the crown. 


So let’s take a look back at the highlights and well-deserving winners. The team met outside the iconic Royal Albert Hall, this year's venue, where they were snapped looking glam in front of a couple of Phizz-branded black cabs, part of the wider 2025 Summer Campaign.                                                                                                                

 

The night kicked off with a lively drinks reception, live music and a sit down dinner before the main event; the highly anticipated awards ceremony! Brands in all sorts of categories were celebrated and the ceremony also recognised company initiatives that are driving real change.These awards included:

  • Social Impact Initiative of the Year - awarded to Iceland Food Club, offering loans to struggling families
  • Sustainability Initiative of the Year (Corporate) - awarded to Co-op, for their member-led sustainability strategy
  • Sustainability Initiative of the Year (Products & Services) - awarded to AgNav, an online platform that provides free, science-led sustainability support to farms
  • Waste Not Want Not Award - awarded to Beyond Belief Brewing Co. for reducing the environmental impact of brewing beer


Then came the moment we were all waiting for, the Health & Beauty Brand of the Year! Brands in this category were judged on their innovation, impact, growth and brand messaging. We were up against a number of different companies, from deodorant to toothbrushes, with nominees being; Applied Nutrition, Fussy, Lynx, Ordo and Wype. On this occasion, Ordo took the trophy home but we were proud to stand alongside these brilliant brands. 

 

Dan, Phizz CEO said: , “Phizz is spearheading a Hydration Enhancer Category that’s gaining momentum and recognition across the broader Health & Beauty space”. We champion ourselves on being a daily wellness and hydration supplement, suitable for all! In the past year, Phizz has doubled down on exciting brand activations including our Hydration Week in London, sampling and consumer education across key cultural moments as well as our UK wide Summer campaign, all to cement Phizz as the daily hydration go-to. Being recognised for our contribution to the Health and Beauty category at  the Grocer Gold Awards has been the icing on the cake.  As Dan said “the team is doing amazing work behind the scenes to drive growth and deliver on our mission - a great moment to acknowledge and celebrate them”.
